Probiotics for Vaginal Health

Probiotics to manage your vaginal health and more

The vaginal microbiome has increasingly been the subject of research in recent years. Healthy vaginal microbiota—the bacteria communities in the vagina—helps keep the entire vaginal ecosystem running smoothly, including protecting against bad bacteria or yeast that may try to set up shop. The most dominant beneficial species in the vagina, Lactobacilli, the bacteria helps regulate the vaginal environment, maintaining a healthy vaginal pH and promoting overall vaginal health.

Unfortunately, it’s easy for the vaginal pH to fall out of balance. That’s where oral probiotics for vaginal health can help, particularly those containing Lactobacillus probiotic strains, the “good” bacteria most commonly found in a healthy woman’s vagina. For the most benefit, be sure to look for one that contains a Lactobacillus blend that’s clinically proven and backed by science. Using vaginal probiotics helps replenish the “good” bacteria in the vagina, minimize the “unfriendly” bacteria, maintain a healthy vaginal pH, and promote feminine health.
